Staffmax Healthcare is seeking a Laboratory Scientist to work in Vandalia, IL.

Start Date:

  • 2024-05-06T00:00:00.000Z or two weeks after offer.

Shift:
  • Nights, 5:30 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Nights - 36 Hour Guarantee


Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of current experience Laboratory Scientist unless otherwise discussed by recruiter.
  • IL license is required
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical physical biological or clinical lab science or medical technology - RequiredASCP Certified MLS - RequiredAble to work independently as a generalist - RequiredMust be able to perform capillary venous and arterial blood draws if needed - RequiredMust be comfortable with performing and reporting out urine microscopy and manual differentialsExperience operating the following equipment Beckman Coulter DxC 700 AU Beckman Coulter Access 2 Sysmex XN 1000 Sysmex CA 660 Quidel Triage Meter Siemens RP500 Nova Prime Siemens Clinitek Connect Status MedTox Scan Biofire FilmArray Respiratory and GI panels Abbott ID NOW Flu AampB RSV Covid-19 and Strep A and Alcor mini iSED. - Highly Preferred Profile Requirements: Work historySkills Checklist current to 1 year pertinent to the specialty2 Supervisory References with dates employed listedCandidates Permanent Address Facility will not consider local candidates - 50 mile radius restriction


Prior to start date you will need the following sent to the recruiter and credentialing:
  • Resume without time gaps and education notated.
  • References from 2 supervisors in past year (updated yearly).
  • Two forms of ID; one must be a photo ID
  • Photo for Badge ID without filters on white background
  • Immunization Documentation; Covid, Flu (current season), HEP B, MMR, TDaP, Varicella
  • Current Yearly Physical
  • TB TEST; Two step or Quantiferon as requested by facility.
  • BLS and any other certifications required of professional: AHA Preferred and often required
  • Skills Checklist and Competency Exams
  • Background Check and Urine Drug Screens are ordered after receiving job offers
  • Credentialing will require other documentation.
  • Must be fully credentialed prior to start date.
