General Manager

Compensation: Up to $70K/year + free housing and meals

A 4-acre lakeside property featuring 11 historic cabins and 39 RV sites is seeking a hands-on and experienced General Manager to oversee daily operations. This role requires a strong combination of hospitality leadership, property maintenance knowledge, financial management, and team supervision.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the property, managing budgets and operational expenses, overseeing guest services and reservations, leading staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and California labor regulations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee repairs and preventative maintenance for cabins, RV sites, utilities, pool, and resort amenities
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate specialized repairs
  • Monitor budgets, expenses, and overall financial performance
  • Deliver excellent guest experiences and resolve concerns professionally
  • Manage hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance of property staff
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, fire codes, and emergency preparedness procedures

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of leadership experience in hospitality, RV parks, campgrounds, vacation rentals, or property management
  • Strong hands-on maintenance knowledge (plumbing, carpentry, roofing, electrical basics)
  • Experience in budgeting, cost control, and operational management
  • Ability to work in an active outdoor environment and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
