- $2700.08 estimated weekly
- $54.80 Blended estimated
- Permanent address must be over 100 miles from facility
Start Date:
- 7/8/24 (earlier start dates also available)
- 13 weeks (longer contracts may be available)
Shift:
- 12 Hour Nights
- every other weekend/holiday
- 48 hours
Requirements:
- South Dakota or compact RN license
- 2 years PCU experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Epic experience
- This is a mixed acuity unit meaning there will be Intermediate Care acuity as well as Tele and MedSurg
- Pre/post-surgical patients, CVA, seizures, cellulitis, influenza, UTIs, pneumonia, COPD, CHF, renal failure with or without the need for hemodialysis, hepatic failure, gastrointestinal disorders and infections, soft tissue injury and minor fractures, and DVTs. Medication administration, titratable vasoactive drips, TPN/tube feeding, and blood product transfusions
- Peripheral IV, Midline, PICC and central line access, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, drains, and urinary and fecal collection devices
- Wound care, telemetry monitored patients
- Post neuro-intervention (preferred experience but education and resources are provided per unit if they have not had this patient type)
- Comfortability to take MedSurg assignment
- Previous experience with IMC/stepdown and neuro; ability to read/interpret cardiac strips, wound care, line management, drain/tube management, drip titration of below medications
- Drip Titration: most commonly – Heparin, Insulin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Levophed (up to 5 mcg), occasionally esmolol drips (will train if traveler has not done these) or other Betablockers or other antihypertensives
