Position Overview
Staffmax are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in residential and/or commercial properties while ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with safety and building codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and plumbing systems
- Diagnose plumbing issues and determine appropriate solutions
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams
- Test plumbing systems for leaks and proper functionality
- Respond to service calls and emergency repairs as needed
- Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes and regulations
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members
- Document work performed and materials used
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a plumber or in a similar trade role
- Valid plumbing license (as required by jurisdiction) preferred
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and safety procedures
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environments
