Job Title: Photo Radar Tech
Job Details:
- Job Type: Full-time April - November
- Pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour (varies by location and experience)
- Schedule: Start times very may be 4 am, 6 am, 8 am, 6 pm just depends
- Hours: : estimated 40 hours a week shifts vary 8 to 14 hours a day
Duties:
- Set up and operate photo radar equipment to monitor vehicle speeds
- Conduct speed enforcement in designated areas based on traffic safety guidelines
- Ensure proper positioning of radar units for accurate data collection
- Monitor and document traffic violations using automated enforcement systems
- Maintain and troubleshoot radar equipment as needed
- Complete detailed reports of recorded violations for law enforcement review
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards regarding traffic enforcement
- Provide testimony in court if required for traffic violation cases
- Work independently while following safety protocols
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in law enforcement, security, or traffic enforcement (preferred)
- Basic technical skills to operate radar and camera equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Valid driver's license minimum 2 years with a clean driving record
- Ability to sit for long periods and work in various weather conditions
- Stay alert and awake for the full shift
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass a background check
- Ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality
- Willingness to travel to different locations as needed
