About the Company

Our client designs and manufactures advanced protection relays and disturbance fault recorders for the global electric power industry. Their innovative protection and automation solutions help utilities and industrial customers improve power system reliability, stability, and operational efficiency worldwide.

They are seeking an experienced Manager, Technical Services to provide strategic leadership for the Technical Services Department. Reporting directly to the CEO, this individual will lead a team of Technical Service Engineers while partnering closely with Sales, Engineering, Product Development, and customers to deliver exceptional technical support and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Technical Services team.
  • Manage daily departmental operations and ensure timely, high-quality customer support.
  • Provide technical leadership to customers, distributors, and the Sales team.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical training, and application support.
  • Support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and operation of protection relay systems remotely and on-site.
  • Prepare technical proposals, product comparisons, presentations, and customer documentation.
  • Build strong customer relationships and act as a senior technical contact for escalations.
  • Support Marketing, Sales, Product Development, and Application Engineering with technical expertise.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and technical events such as IEEE and NASPI.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
  • 10+ years of experience with numerical protection relays and disturbance fault recorders.
  • Previous experience managing and developing technical or engineering teams.
  • Strong knowledge of electric power systems, protection, automation, and relay applications.
  • Experience working with utilities, consulting engineering firms, or power system customers.
  • Experience with load flow, short circuit, and EMTP studies.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols and power system integration.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
