Maintenance Worker – 1 Year Contract

Staffmax is hiring a skilled Maintenance Worker for a 1-year contract at a manufacturing facility in Washington DC. If you’re hands-on, safety-conscious, and experienced in keeping machinery running smoothly, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do:

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery and facility equipment

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

Maintain logs of maintenance work and equipment history

Support facility repairs (HVAC, lighting, plumbing)

Respond quickly to breakdowns and urgent repair requests

Coordinate maintenance with production teams
What You Bring:

2+ years in industrial or manufacturing maintenance

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems

Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints

Self-motivated, safety-focused, and able to work independently

Trade certification or equivalent training is a plus
