Description:
The HR Generalist will provide overall support onsite to our client's manufacturing facility ensuring a safe environment at all times.

The right candidate will be experienced in safety and compliance and have prior experience in a manufacturing, logistics or similar environment.

Responsibilities:
• Administers payroll by verifying hours worked in accordance with state laws, experience utilizing Paycom is helpful
• Responds to employee questions and inquiries regarding payroll policies and procedures
• Maintains knowledge of multi-state legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance.
• On boards new employees, handles employee paperwork and filing while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality
• Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence and employee assistance
• Performs full cycle recruitment to include sourcing, interviewing, pre-employment tests and extending offers to fill vacant positions for hourly roles
• Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals
• Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
• Advises supervisors and managers regarding appropriate resolution of employee relations issues such as disciplinary actions, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety and sexual or other unlawful harassment
• Point of contact for employee relations and mediation; Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs.
• Assists with performance management, merit increases and reviews; Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within organization
• Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization.
• Manages safety training, incidents and compliance; Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier.
• Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.

The  Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; a minimum four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Two years of payroll experience preferred; Three plus years of HR experience required, 5+ years preferred
• Experience working in a manufacturing, logistics or similar environment
• Experience managing a safety program
• One year minimum of full cycle recruitment experience and the desire to actively work to build our team
