Dishwasher – High-End Restaurant
Reports To: Kitchen Manager / Executive Chef
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our high-end restaurant team. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are sanitized and ready for use in a fast-paced, fine dining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including floors, walls, and workstations.
- Dispose of garbage and recycling in a timely and proper manner.
- Assist kitchen staff with basic prep tasks as needed (e.g., peeling vegetables, portioning ingredients).
- Operate dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards, including HACCP guidelines.
- Report any maintenance issues or damaged equipment to the management team promptly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen or high-volume setting is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive attitude and willingness to take direction.
