Description:

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machinery in accordance with company procedures, production schedules, and safety standards.

  • Set up, load, and unload raw materials and finished metal products onto CNC machines.

  • Verify product dimensions using precision measuring tools to ensure specifications and quality standards are met.

  • Package completed orders securely and accurately according to company standards and customer requirements.

  • Move finished products to the appropriate staging area for shipment.

  • Assist with order picking, packing, and preparation of shipments as required.

  • Support shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading trucks.

  • Complete and process shipping and production documentation accurately.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including basic machine and equipment maintenance.

  • Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures at all times.

Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 3–5 years of experience operating CNC machines or working in a manufacturing/metal processing environment.

  • Experience operating CNC saws, drills, or other metal processing equipment is considered an asset.

  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, technical drawings, and specifications.

  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc.).

  • Experience operating material handling equipment including sit-down counterbalance forklifts and side-loaders; valid certification preferred.

  • Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs in a warehouse or production environment.

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and warehouse or production management systems.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and compliance with provincial health and safety regulations.

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
