Estimated Traveler Rates

  • $1900 estimated weekly includes 100% National Standards Stipends
  • $47.50Blended
  • $20.02 hour taxed
  • $57 OT (overtime)
  • Travelers must have a permanent address outside of 100 miles from facility.

  • 8 hour days
  • 0800-1630 or 0700 to 1530
  • no weekends or call
  • 6 weeks
  • 40 hours

Facility Requirements:

  • 5 years experience
  • Drivers License
  • Biomedical Equipment Technician – International Certification Commission (ICC)
  • Associated degree in Biomedical Electronics

Position Summary

  • Under relatively close supervision, repair, calibrate, and maintain all types of basic clinical equipment technologies, devices, instruments and systems. Inspect, install and provide preventive maintenance of general clinical equipment. Provide support both on-site and remotely to a hospital, service center location, or within an assigned territory.
  • Repair, install, maintain, calibrate, and inspect a diverse range of therapeutic and diagnostic biomedical instrumentation and equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and electrical safety testing of clinical equipment, devices and systems.
  • Diagnose and correct system and equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain documentation on new equipment, inspections, and equipment repairs and failures.
  • Respond expeditiously to calls from clinical departments to evaluate and rectify valid operator complaints and concerns.
  • Research and initiate orders for repair parts, working with the supervisor and TRC.
  • Maintain an orderly and functional work environment ensuring tools and test equipment are in good working order.
  • As needed, assist with in-service educational programs on equipment use and safety protocols.
